Christopher Pennington is a songwriter/singer/producer who has produced over 250 albums and published well over 400 original songs for the children’s music market.

After working as a recording engineer in a Montreal studio producing commercials, he took the plunge and moved to London, England to work as performer and songwriter with SBK(EMI) band, “Vagabond Joy”.  where he  recorded an album at Rockfield Studios (Wales) and toured the UK,  supporting acts like Tears for Fears, The Stranglers, and Bob Geldof.

He left the hurly-burly music scene in London and returned to Canada to devote his time to raising his young family while continuing to write and perform.  He began working in the children’s music field with Direct Source Special Products in 1999; producing their entire children’s catalogue, which went on to record combined sales in excess of 10 million units worldwide.

In 2003, he was approached by KIDZUP (a major children’s music label) to come on board and where he wrote,  produced and engineered over 100 albums for their children’s music catalogue while working under the nom de plume ‘Fat Al Davis’.  These CDs were written for the mass market as well as for the more specialized field of educational music in both English and French.

He continues to write children’s music, now primarily for Kiboomu, a  rapidly growing children’s music and education company based in Montreal.  Kiboomu’s very successful youtube channel that feature many of Christopher’s songs has had over 60 million  views.  He has also produced and arranged the music for Kiboomu’s line of multi-award winning apps.  Kiboomu has acquired the digital rights to the KIDZUP catalogue and successfully markets it through itunes and other digital providers.

Aside from children’s music, he has written and placed songs for commercials, television and film.  He is now co-writing and producing music with Sam Olson, an up and coming Montreal artist.  Together they perform and write edgy ultra pop firmly aimed at massive commercial success.

Christopher has also written many children’s books for Tormont Publications,  a subsidiary of KIDZUP.  He has co-written with songwriters; Wendy Wiseman, Danielle Robichaud, Stacey Evett Pennington, Paul Johnston and Michel Gliserman and is he is now working on developing a television show with his brother Garran Pennington and Lee Mellor.
